Clan Wars

Our scrim with FRB happened on Saturday Dec 6. We don't publish scores from scrims but let's just say that neither side took a beating. FRB are a cool bunch of people and excellent Quake players too. We enjoyed playing with them. It would be nice if more clans had as much class.

An hour after our scrim with FRB, we headed over to xtremes.org for the big one, our match with Xtreme Supremacy. Playing in the match for Rum were Blessed, BigWorm, Phobia and Hulk while Crash (Rum) and Deadman (X) watched the carnage in observer mode. The first map was our choice, CTF2M4 and we beat Xtreme by a nice margin on this one. They made a come back, however, on their choice of maps, CTF2M2. They won this map sending us into a tie breaker with CTF1. Unfortunately for us, Xtreme beat us on this one also, scoring a win for the match. These guys have been around for a long time and their skill was impressive. Although we lost, we enjoyed the opportunity to play such an experienced clan.

On Sunday Dec 7 we matched Clan CM. The match was scheduled as a six on six but after a late start it turned into a four on four with Dark, Nina, Twinsen and Viper. We started out with a nice lead on E1M1 but Clan CM members started dropping out. We managed to keep the game going but wound up with Crash jumping in with Viper for a two on two against CM. We won the first map by a large margin and moved on to Elder God Shrine, E4M3. CM took the lead but we quickly caught up and won this one by a nice margin also, scoring a match win for Rum. With assurances that their members would all show up and stay in the game, CM asked for a re-match and we agreed. The re-match has yet to be scheduled.
