ABOUT PROQUAKE+

ProQuake+ is entirely based on ProQuake v1.04.  Where ProQuake adds
gameplay enhancements, ProQuake+ primarily adds OpenGL graphical
enhancements. No WinQuake version is available at this time.
Contact Avalanche for the source code until a webpage is made.

INSTALLATION
============

1. Make sure you have GLQuake installed and working properly.

2. Place glproplus.exe in the same directory as GLQuake. ie, C:\Quake\

3. Place the contents of the ID1 directory in this ZIP file into your own ID1 directory.

4. Start glproplus.exe exactly as you started winquake/glquake/proquake.

5. READ THIS FILE AND THE ORIGINAL PROQUAKE MANUAL.

NEW COMMANDS IN PROQUAKE+

r_skybox                       <0/1>      1.0       Toggles skyboxes.  You must have the six included
                                                    .tga textures placed in your \ID1\gfx\env\
                                                    directory in order for them to work.  If your skies
                                                    appear to be white, either disable this command, or,
                                                    even better, find those files you are missing! :)

r_interpolate_model_animation  <0/1>      1.0       Toggles model animation interpolation.
                                                    Smooths the animation of models.  ie, running
                                                    player models, entities, and flames.

r_interpolate_model_transform  <0/1>      0.0       Toggles model transform interpolation.
                                                    Smooths the movement of models by predicting where
                                                    they will move between frames.  This is nice
                                                    looking in single player for entity movement, but
                                                    is not very useful in multiplayer.

gamma                          <0.0-1.0>  1.0       Working gamma!  The lower the value, the brighter
                                                    the picture.  A value of 1 turns gamma completely
                                                    off (fastest).   A value of 0.500-0.999 turns gamma
                                                    half-way on (fast).  A value of 0.000-0.499
                                                    fully turns on gamma and will cause the greatest
                                                    performance drain on the user (slow).  This all
                                                    means that, for example, a value of 0.500 is NO
                                                    faster than a value of 0.999.  Likewise, the same
                                                    is true for 0.100 and 0.400.

cl_itembob                     <0/1>      1.0       Bob toggle for all power items, weapons, and armor.

r_shadows                      <0/1>      1.0       Toggles improved, more realistic shadows. 

scr_conheight                  <0.0-1.0>  0.7       Change console height.

r_conalpha                     <0.0-1.0>  0.3       Change console transparency.

r_sbaralpha                    <0.0-1.0>  0.5       Change status bar transparency.

KNOWN BUGS
==========

Player can often see rooms behind skyboxes.  Disable skyboxes if this annoys you.
Gamma quickly causes skyboxes to look terrible.  Disable skyboxes if this annoys you.

OTHER ISSUES
============

If you are a CTF'er, skyboxes are always disabled on CTF3M2
(Red Alert).  With skyboxes enabled, any person up on the
ledges could see directly through all of the walls.  This
isn't a bug with the skyboxes.  Rather, it is poor map
design.  Sorry.  Nevertheless, I'm working on correcting it.
To see it yourself, go offline and into single player mode,
and use "fly" to get up on the ledges.
