Ruins of Neominonk250-24 Ramled [Lp2000]
stanford.claneq.org
Oh no! The Ruins again!! RuM's favorite map, I guess. ;-) This was a low scoring map and GDI was frustrated by the map. Sectoion 8 decided early in the match to just sit this map out and let Larman take his place. |
Hmmmm have I mentioned that NO ONE likes this map? =) |
GDI put up a good fight, and made it tough for Rum flag carriers to make it back to base. They weren't able to get a capture though and that is what made the difference. They also had a hard time trying to control the quad so GDI flag carriers had a difficult task to get to that other face without being smacked by a quad rocket. Good game though. I enjoyed it.

The Strongbox981-171 Ramled [Lp2000]
stanford.claneq.org This map was exactly the opposite of the previous one. Lots of captures, kills, and well just more excitement. Its the strongbox! Small level, so you know there is going to be alot of scoring.

The key to this map has to be controling the quad. Even if your team isn't doing well you can hang in there if you can control that quad. In the early stages of the map thats exactly what Viper did.
I saw the comment, "This Viper spank is ok!" It made me laugh, but I guess it was this particular person's way of saying Viper was doing a great job of controling the middle all by himself. He prevented GDI from capturing the flag early on and after about 7 mins his score was, "Rather nice." |
But Viper by himself couldn't keep GDI from capping. And they were able to get a few in before Viper would nab the quad and wreak more havoc on GDI. What started out close ended somewhat lopsided

The McKinley Base463-103 Ramled [Lp2000]
stanford.claneq.org With each team winning their maps this map was the tie-breaker. This map is probably the most even map in all of the CTF episodes. No advantages for either team. Gotta control the quad though, or else you are finished. Viper's task early was to do just that, control the quad. And he did a real good job of it early on in the map. But GDI grabbed the lead when Section 8 capped early in the map.
|
A stalemate ensued with neither team able to break the other team's defense. This lasted for a few minutes until DethFrmAbv was able to sneak in and grab the flag and escape the water way and got to the middle of the map just to get discharged on. Don't ya hate it when that happens? |
But GDI had an effective attack and Section 8 was able to get another cap to extend GDI's lead. Larman followed with a couple caps of his own and GDI had pulled away and now had a commanding lead. Rum just couldn't break the GDI defense. Riptor and Dethy did a good job of holding down the fort. GDI strung a few more caps together and took this map home with a victory. Good games guys. |
