Warzone565-143 Ramled [Lp2000]
Warzone. One of my favorite maps and a very even map as well. The key to this map: Control the bunker. If you can't, it will be a long game. Jack starts this map with a cap in the first minute of play to set the tone of a well fought map by both sides. Jack was telefragged and respawned right on the enemy flag. Before Tusa new what happend he grabbed the flag and got the cap.
Warped followed that with a cap of his own. Tusa had trouble retrieving their flag once it was taken. A couple times their own flag carrier was waiting at base ready to cap, only to be fragged because it was just taking too long. |
Tusa fought hard on this map and it was a great showing for them. Good game |
Capturephobolis521-228 Ramled [Lp2000] This was an exciting map to watch, except it had a slight twist in it. The Runes were turned on! DOH! My question is who voted to turn them on? The funny thing is no one realized they were on until the macth had started but both teams played on anyway. Rum junped out to an early lead with a quick capture but Alphabet was able to counter with a capture of his own.
Unfortuntely for Tusa, Rum had three of the four runes in their posession: Regen, Res, and Haste. In fact, they had them the majority of the map. That made it extremely difficult for Tusa to mount an offensive that was effective. Defense was crucial and Inferno with his haste was a virtual wall. Nothing was getting in, and if Tusa just happend to grab the flag they weren't getting to far with out hearing the roar of that haste rune chasing after them.
It wasn't until Warped got a capture to put Rum in the lead for good because there was no looking back after that. Warped struggled to cap again and Rum Slowly pulled further and further ahead. Tusa fought hard but it just wasn't to be. A combination of a strong defense and a good attack allowed Rum to prevail as the victors. Good game. |
