Lagapalooza is a small net Quake CTF league hosted by Clan Rum and Goddamn Independents. Lagapalooza was started by Clan Rum in August 1998 as a single tournament called Lagaplooaza '98. We wanted to do a small tournament in order to help us and the participating clans augment our schedule of matches and do it in an environment free of the hassles associated with the larger leagues. Lagaplooaza '98 was very successful and we teamed up with GDI to continue with it as a league, now called simply Lagapalooza. It is a private league and participation is by invitation only. Existing clans may recommend new clans and if approved, the new clan is sponsored for their first season by the clan that recommended them. Clans may also apply to participate in Lagapalooza if a participating clan volunteers to sponsor them and if they are approved. Only clans who are respectable and well behaved will be considered for participation in Lagapalooza. Problem clans are not welcome and that is the theme of the league. We want to have a fun league where even the little guys can have a good time therefore it is geared toward the average clan and not the heavy weights.

Lagapalooza will have a continuous series of tournaments, initially one at a time with a two or three week break in between. Each tournament will be divided into divisions depending on the number of participating clans with separate divisions for lpb and hpb. Rules common to all tournaments are on the top level Lagapalooza page. Rules unique to the individual tournaments will be on their respective pages. Each tournament will have single elimination playoffs with a final game for the hpb and lpb championship.
